Dawn, Monument Valley
As every serious photographer knows, dawn and dusk can produce some
spectacular lighting. Monument Valley is no exception, and there were
about 40 photographers all up for this 6am sunrise, with equipment ranging
from plate cameras to compacts - although the majority had tripods and were
using DSLR's. Positioning the sun behind the butte resulted in a starburst
effect with no filter.
