Paddle power

Paddle power

Taken at Grandtully in Perthshire, slalom is difficult to photograph, because the paddle of the canoeist is often out of the top of the frame. The C1 category use Canadian style short paddles, so they always stay in the frame, and I look for a canoeist putting in maximum effort on the run to get facial expressions.
Taken from spectator areas – no photographer pass required.
