LINDISFARNE August 2009

This resulted in the group arriving in glorious sunshine and enjoying good weather all day.

We all photographed the usual subjects, the castle and 'boat sheds' and some unusual ones such as nesting swallows, birds of prey and butterflies. One of the biggest problems was trying to avoid the hordes of day trippers from 'invading' our pictures! However, where there's a will there's a way and this probably led to the taking of detail shots rather than wide vistas.

Perhaps this location would be better at high tide rather than low tide (when tourists tend to visit). It's so photogenic I'm sure we will return.
